Although I’m all about that DIY, I do know when to outsource when my plate is full. And right about now, my plate is FULL! I love the winter season, and being from the mid-west originally I miss that pretty winter scape living in Southern California.
So when my friends over at Kismet Event Design were offering a holiday winter decor service I jumped on it. I told them what I wanted (I’m thinking modern farmhouse, with a very neutral palette) and I even bought a can of spray snow and silk ribbon that I wanted incorporated. They bought and installed everything just like we discussed, and I have to say did my front entry up BEAUTIFULLY!
I honestly would probably never have gotten on a ladder to put up fresh juniper greens, so I got a look that went beyond what I could’ve accomplished only working at eye level.
Those pinecones smell like cinnamon. So I get to smell all these beautiful fresh greens and cinnamon each time I go through my door.
They let me rent these beautiful lanterns at a fraction of what it would’ve cost to buy, PLUS I don’t have to store them away when the holidays are over.
